Welcome to LiveWire Music - A brief history

Our purpose here at LiveWire is simple: to bring new music to a wider audience and to encourage more people to live shows to experience the magic for themselves. We are a not for profit publication, run by enthusiasts, and we believe that live music is not just the heart and soul of the music industry, but is also part of our hearts and souls as human beings, which brings a sense of joy and excitement. Our aim is to help promote upcoming new releases and shows by both established and new exciting bands, by sharing news, and providing concert goers with review and photographic galleries to help them decide which bands to see in the future.

We have no set agenda or genre, and encourage submissions from all musical types from folk and country, through indy and rock, to metal and punk, and beyond to horrorpunk and psychobilly!

So join us, enjoy your music experience, and if you have anything to contribute, whether you’re a promoter looking for some exposure for an event, or you’ve been to a show and want to give us your views, please get in touch with us via the Contacts page.

LiveWire Music was founded in 2019 by Richard ‘Chud’ Davies. An established sports and music photographer with over 10 years experience. With other like minded friends, the idea was formed, to set up a website to help promote bands in the region, and to provide concert goers with great images and show reviews. The aim was simple, to mix coverage of larger bands with up and coming artists, to help expose music fans to new bands and experiences and to help the live music scene to grow.
