Paul Weller / DeMontfort Hall / Leicester

Last night we took a trip down the A46 to the magnificent De Montfort Hall in Leicester, to photograph Paul Weller on his spring 2024 UK tour. We hope you enjoy the gallery !

In support we had a thoroughly entertaining set from Barbara, brothers Henry & John Tydeman from Brighton who write some brilliantly bright and entertaining material.

Paul Weller needs no introduction. Originally forming The Jam in 1976 with a string of hits such as Eaton Rifles and Going Underground. Breaking up The Jam, Paul changed direction with the formation of The Style Council in 1983 and again had a succession iof hits including Shout to the Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down and You’re the Best Thing. Since 1990 Paul has performed as a solo artist with hits such as You Do Something To Me and Wild Wood. Known as the ‘Modfather’ Paul has become a style icon and revered for his jazz-guitar-focused sound, with its funk.

With a string of #1 singles and albums to his credit, his latest album “66” is due for release of 24 May 2024 and is available to pre-order now, HERE.

Paul’s shows don’t come with an impressive set, or light/fireworks show. It doesn’t need it, the work is all done by that iconic Telecaster and silky smooth voice that as his audience hanging on every word and note. His continuing influence and popularity demonstrated by the fact that this spring run of shows is sold out.

The good is, Paul has recently announced a second tour run for the autumn taking in 18 more dates across 15 venues around the country. For a list of dates and shows near you, check out the tour poster below the image gallery. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
