The K's release powerful new single "Heart on my Sleeve"

If you haven’t heard of The K’s yet, then you will before long. They are one of the UK’s fastest rising bands and they are selling out shows all over the country. 2024 is set to be an exciting year for them with their highly anticipated debut album “I Wonder If The World Knows” and an impressive run of headline shows kicking off in April next year. Ahead of the debut album release, they preview a taster of the record in the form of indie-rock anthem Heart On My Sleeve out now. Describing the new single, frontman Jamie Boyle says:

““Heart On My Sleeve” is a reflection of my tendency to self-destruct or push people away whenever I have any feelings of insecurity or vulnerability, and how I hide behind a persona to try and distract from the fact that I feel this way. It’s the most honest song I’ve written to date, and I think most people will be able to relate to the honesty and the feelings that inspired it.”

Speaking about the upcoming release, Jamie adds:

I Wonder If The World Knows is a written journey throughout the last couple of years of our lives throughout the ups, the downs and everything in between. We’ve put our heart and soul into making the perfect record and we can’t wait for you to hear it.”

In the coming months, the Earlestown indie champs take on some of the most sizable venues of their career. With a sold-out capacity show at Manchester Academy later this week, among a number of other big shows to come before 2023 is done; in 2024, The K’s then look forward to major headline tour in support of their debut album, with notable gigs at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse and London’s Electric Ballroom. They have also recently been announced for 2024’s Isle of Wight Festival and will support Blossoms in Manchester in August. Full tour dates below. In anticipation of the tour, the band says:

“After the release of our debut album ‘I Wonder If The World Knows’ we will be heading out on our biggest tour to date! We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve created and we can’t wait to play it live for you all.”

It’s safe to say The K’s are going places. Fast. As well as selling out multiple dates all over the UK, including selling every ticket for their upcoming Manchester Academy show in under 24 hours, they have also opened the main stages at Isle of Wight and Neighbourhood Festivals, as well as gracing the main stages at Leeds, Reading & Kendal Calling, and tore the roof down at this year's Tramlines, with hundreds unable to get into the big top to see them play. They’ve supported Liam Gallagher, James and Blondie. Their debut single “Sarajevo” notched up over 4 million streams, and their recent single “Hoping Maybe” became a phone-lights-on live anthem that reached number 2 on the iTunes chart, kept off the top spot only by Miley Cyrus.
