Frontman Jack Burlison explains, "'Lease of Life' was born in the cracks between exhaustion and hope. At the time, I was caught in the grind of a job that left me hollow. Late nights, long commutes, and a growing sense that I was drifting further from any real purpose. Everyone around me seemed to be moving forward, while I felt stuck, quietly rebelling against the idea that your worth is defined by your job." He goes on to say, "What kept me going was writing. I remember, in the middle of the chaotic, last-minute prepping for our last EP's music videos, paint probably spattered across my face, a half finished prop in hand, I picked up my guitar, and the riff just spilled out like a breath I didn't know I was holding. The verses echo lyrics from an old demo about the monotony of consumerism and work, an apt reflection of how I had felt. But in the chorus, that weight lifts. Those same words take on a brighter meaning, giving them a new lease of life. It's a song about reclaiming purpose, finding meaning beyond what the world tells you should matter and discovering your own 'Lease of Life' in the most unexpected places."

Emerging from the vibrant music scene of the North East of England, TV Death have carved a distinctive niche with their raw energy and sonic experimentation. The quartet has been captivating audiences with their visceral sound and thought-provoking lyrics, reminiscent of the sensual anarchy of bands like The Cramps and The Birthday Party.
TV Death present a compelling case for a band on the rise. Their synthesis of post-punk, psychedelic and garage rock subgenres feels organic and avoids pastiche, resulting in a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly unique. The lyrical landscape delves into a range of compelling themes, demonstrating a perceptiveness for the crumbling world around them and aligning them with the tradition of politically and socially engaged punk and post-punk artists.
